A teacher from South Hedland Primary School has always had an interest in viewing stars.

Now, science teacher Stacey Smith has created a space program for children at the school.

She was able to get funding for her and her students to get a telescope to look at the different planets.

The South Hedland Primary School invites the community to join them in viewing the Geminid Meteor Shower on December 14 from 7.30 - 10.00 pm.

The event will take place at Weaver Place Oval.
