David Arden, a founding member and Musical Director of The Black Arm Band, played a pivotal role in its premiere at the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

The ensemble, known as Murundak (meaning “alive” in Woiwurrung), boasts an impressive lineup of Australian music legends.

Among them are Archie Roach, Ruby Hunter, Bart Willoughby, Stephen Pigram, Carol Fraser, Peter Rotumah, Kutcha Edwards, Liz Cavanagh, Kev Carmody, Mark Atkins, Lou Bennett, Andy Albert, Joe Geia, Robbie Bundle, and of course, David Arden.

These talented artists were also joined by renowned musicians such as Paul Kelly and Shane Howard, all contributing their voices to the rich tapestry of First Nations musical history.
