NEW PILBARA VEHICLE HIRE SERVICE TO BE LAUNCHED THIS WEEK

The new vehicle hire service operated by Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation and the South Australian-based Indigenous company CEDRENT will be launched this week in Roebourne.

CEO of Y.A.C, Michael Woodley told Ngaarda Media, the new vehicle rental service will host a wide range of transport options and is to benefit all people in the region.

“It's good for the region is obviously good for First Nations people, but what we want to try and do as well as First Nation people is to contribute to the locally as well in a position doesn't stop with First Nations people as well.

We're gonna try and do is is to contribute to that local area in terms of employment and training as well, and that's across the board.”.

Mr Woodley says Y.A.C “cherry picks” the best ideas for investing for the community and reception to the announcement has been positive.

Operations will be based at Karratha and Port Hedland Airports, with an official launch at Roebourne on Thursday.
