National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Week started on Monday, shedding light on an issue that affects over a quarter of a million Australians.

Heart valve disease is usually treatable, but can lead to blood clots, stroke, or even be fatal.

Unfortunately, Indigenous Australians in this country are disproportionately affected by heart valve disease.

Hearts4Heart CEO Tanya Hall spoke to Conrad about the realities of Heart Valve disease and what we can all do to stay healthy.
