The festival celebrates diversity and pride with an exciting range of events and programs on offer for everyone to enjoy.

Adnyamathanha, Barngarla, and Yankunytjatjara transgender woman Charlotte Coulthard-Dare, is a radio hosts at Nunga Wangga Radio show on 101.FM in South Australia. Her show, which she hosts in collaboration with other people, talks about issues relevant to South Australian Indigenous people.

Charlotte says that she experiences a lot of transphobia and racism.

“People will always your not really a woman. You’re black? Your not really black, you look white”.

She said the comments come from mostly outside of the Indigenous community. She said she grew around strong women who told her to stand up.

Despite the transphobia and racism faced, Charlotte continues to move leaps and bounds.

“Everyone is very happy that I’m this year’s ambassador”.

Her role for the festival will be to promote and educate people about LBGTI+ issues and some of the fun events that will be happening.

She said on the first night there will be an opening party in the main square, Victoria square.

The festival will start on November 6th, 2021. Find out more here.
